Securing potential markets is an an important point for PGN’s business continuity
including sustainability and growth. Dealing with feasibility analysis of each
investment, management has specific requirement in implementing the Net Present
Value (NPV) and the Internal Rate of Return (IRR). The NPV and IRR are the main
tools in the decision making whether to accept the project or not to accept. The
modes of natural gas distribution to be prioritized through pipelines and recently
Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) are the alternatives for the potential customers in
industrial, commercial, and household sector. CNG is most fitted for a lower
volume of demand and the delivery intended to the location beyond the pipelines
distribution coverage. A strategic decision in securing business continuity would be
a major task from the demand side. Modes of natural gas distribution especially
CNG could be one factor in securing potential market of PGN.
